Application for wireless internet
If you have a standard network card in your computer, there are many RJ-45 internet jacks in the dorms and classroons of LIU Brooklyn, so bring a patch cable!
If you have a wireless card and would like to use it on campus, you must fill out this form as soon as possible.
LIU Brooklyn requires pre-registration of your wireless card before you can use their wireless internet. They use what is called the MAC address of the wireless card to verify that you are a valid user.
The MAC address is a unique identifer embeded in each network card. Also known as the Ethernet ID or adapter address, it is how network hardware recognises each other.
You can obtain this number from your computer by
looking in the network settings of your computer. The exact procedure varies with the operating system version. More information is available atFinding your MAC address or at How to find your MAC address .
