NMEA Conference Registration
Registration for the conference will be handled by the University of Florida Office of Conferences and Institutes. Please carefully read through the material below as well as the section on field trips before you begin the registration process. Note that the Meal Plan, Dorm Room reservations and Anniversary T-Shirt and Lapel Pin orders must be handled separately by going to L.I.U. Dorm Reservation
Note* Day rates for the NMEA attendees include that day's keynote speaker, exhibitors, sessions, AND the special evening event for that day (applicable on Sun., Mon., Tues., and Wed.).

The special registration listed below is for full time teachers who are members of NYSMEA. The NY member rates are for sessions and exhibits only; the evening event is not included. For Monday, that's Sessions 1 and 2; for Tuesday, it's Sessions 3, 4, and 5; for Wednesday, it's Sessions 6, 7, and 8. On Wednesday, NY Day Registrants must provide their own transportation to Kingsborough Community College. This fee includes NYSMEA membership. Note in order to attend evening events or field trips you must be registered as a NMEA member.

of the Aquarium,

Non-registered

After
the conference officially ends on Thursday night, the fun continues!
You may want to explore New York City on your own, or you may take
advantage of our post-conference planned activities. The deadline for ordering
tickets to these events is May 1.
Fri. daytime:
Two-hour Tour of New York City on a
Gray Line Double Decker Bus
$37
If more than 30 people
sign up for this (max. 85),
we will have a bus all to ourselves for a 3-hour tour
at a lower per-person rate (pay $37 now, and receive
a
partial refund later). If fewer
than 30 people sign up,
we will share a bus with non-NMEA tourists taking the
2-hour Uptown Loop Tour. A
conference leader will
escort the group via subway from LIU to the pick-up
location in midtown Manhattan.
Fri. afternoon, 4:30PM - 8:30PM
Board the Peking,
a four-masted barque, merchant vessel
launched in 1911, and one of the largest sailing
vessels
ever built, for a wine and cheese reception in South Street
Seaport’s maritime setting as the conference draws to a
close and enjoy the evening port of New York on a warm
summer’s night. You may choose to
walk over the
Brooklyn Bridge with a guide, or meet us at the
Seaport on your own.

at Shea Stadium (Mezzanine)
