New York State Marine Education Association
Mission:
NYSMEA exists to promote marine awareness and encourage the
growth and exchange of instructional
resources within the scientific,
commercial, and educational communities. Members include educators
from
all levels; museum, aquarium, and environmental center staff, research
scientists, laboratory
technicians and those with interests in SCUBA,
fishing, boating, maritime history, folklore, archeology
and the arts.
New York State Marine Education Association
Activities:
NYSMEA runs an annual conference, periodic meetings, field and
boat trips. We produce a
monthly newspage, "Newslinks," a periodic
listserve, and a quarterly Journal, "Ripples."
Members are available to
assist new teachers or old interested in developing laboratory,
lecture
and field work.
We also run an annual Student Conference
